REDS TO FACE FC BARCELONA AT WEMBLEY

Liverpool FC has today announced that it will face FC Barcelona at Wembley this August as part of the International Champions Cup.

The clash, which was announced at a press conference at Wembley today, will take place on Saturday 6 August, kicking off at 5pm.

LFC Ambassador Gary McAllister and Ronald De Boer representing FC Barcelona were at Wembley today to talk about the news.

Gary said: “What an incredible game to round off such a high profile tournament and all set under the iconic Wembley arch. I’m sure this game will be a great spectacle for Reds fans and football fans in general – I can’t wait.”

The Reds are one of 10 teams competing in the International Champions Cup and will play two matches in California in July before heading back to the UK to face FC Barcelona.

·         July 27: Liverpool v Chelsea – Rose Bowl; Pasadena, California. 8:30pm Pacific time (4.30am BST, July 28).

·         July 30: Liverpool v AC Milan – Levi’s Stadium; Santa Clara, California. 7pm Pacific time (3am BST, July 31).

·         August 6: Liverpool v FC Barcelona – Wembley, 5pm BST.

Charlie Stillitano, Chairman of Relevant Sports said: “Barcelona and Liverpool are two of the biggest football clubs in the world. The ability to have these two powerhouse clubs compete is what the ICC is all about and truly an honour. Bringing these clubs and the ICC to Wembley Stadium is an incredible mark of the growth of tournament in only four years.”

Tickets for the LFC v FCB will go on sale for LFC season ticket holders and members via www.ticketmaster.co.uk on 1st June at 10am. General sale will commence at 10am on Friday 3rd June. Ticket prices will start from £26 for adults, with junior tickets priced £15.

Liverpool have confirmed the £4.7 million
signing of esteemed young German goalkeeper
Loris Karius on a five-year deal from Mainz.
The 22-year-old, who has amassed 91
Bundesliga appearances, is the third new
acquisition ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s first full
season in charge at Anfield following moves
for Cameroon international Joel Matip and
Serbian starlet Marko Grujic.
As reported by Goal 10 days ago , the stopper
was one of the manager’s premier targets as
he strengthens the club’s rearguard and
shakes up the goalkeeping department.
He will wear the No.1 shirt, which he
requested and was available.
Karius, with an aggressive starting position,
stellar command of his area and excellent
shot-stopping skills, will provide overdue
competition to Simon Mignolet.
Adam Bogdan is set to be let go, while Danny
Ward is expected to spend 2016-17 on loan
at Huddersfield.
Karius, who spent two years in Manchester
City’s youth set-up between 2009 to 2011,
admitted last month that "it would be a great
to play in England again." He also explained
that he would only move on if he had the
feeling that "everything fits perfectly" with a
prospective club.
Liverpool’s interest enthused Karius, who
could not pass up the chance to further
develop under Klopp. The Reds boss is still
revered in Mainz, where he was at the helm
for seven years from 2001 to 2008.
The goalkeeper from the south of Germany
was originally thought to have a release
clause of just under £8 million, but that figure
was skewered, with Liverpool able to do
business for almost half the price.

Karius is rated as one of the foremost young
talents of his country and his fellow
professionals voted him the second best
gloveman in the Bundesliga behind only
Manuel Neuer.
He could miss the start of the Premier League
season, though, as he is expected to be in
Germany's squad for the Olympic Games in
Brazil.
Liverpool also plan to step up their pursuit of
Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell as Klopp
continues to bolster his squad, with talks also
ongoing for Mahmoud Dahoud .
If the Reds are to land the Borussia
Monchengladbach midfielder it would
considered a massive coup considering the
amount of interest in the 20-year-old.
Poland international Piotr Zielinski has been
open about his desire to move to Anfield, but
there is no such positivity from top target
Mario Gotze.
The World Cup winner has not given Liverpool
any assurances , parting with his management
firm before stating: "I look forward to the new
season in Munich, and will do everything
possible to be in top shape for my first
training session under Carlo Ancelotti."
The 23-year-old is not understood to be
central to the Italian’s plans for next season
and whether he stays at the Allianz Arena
remains to be seen, but a switch to Anfield is
looking increasingly unlikely.
Liverpool will work on alternative targets as
they continue to fortify the squad for 2016-17.

Liverpool agree terms with Mainz keeper Loris Karius. 22-year-old Karius is said to have a release clause of around £8 million, and Germany’s Kicker have today reported that the Reds have “agreed” terms with the player.

Baada ya takwimu za klabu bora Afrika kutolewa na shirikisho la Soka Afrika (CAF) kumeibuka sintofahamu juu ya takwimu hizo na kufikia hatua ya baadhi ya mashabiki wa vilabu vya soka kuwaita CAF kuwa ni "jipu".

Watu wanahoji iweje Simba iwe ya 39 na Yanga ya 55 wakati Simba ina miaka mitatu haijashiriki ligi yoyote iliyoandaliwa na CAF? Wengine pia wanahoji imekuaje timu ya Al-Ahly ya Misri kuishinda timu ya TP Mazembe ambayo ndio klabu bingwa ya Afrika kwa sasa?

TP Mazembe kwa ujumla wake imeshiriki mara 26 ktk michuano yote ya CAF huku timu ya Al-Ahly ilishiriki mara 36. Kwa kigezo hiki Mazembe anazidiwa points na Al Ahly.

Katika ligi ya klabu bingwa Afrika, Al-Ahly imeingia fainali mara 10 na kuchukua kombe hilo mara 8, ambapo ni mwaka 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, na mwaka 2013.

Wakati huohuo TP Mazembe imeingia fainali za klabu bingwa Afrika maraa 7 na kufanikiwa kuchukua kombe mara 5, yani mwaka 1967, 1968, 2009, 2010 na 2015. Hadi hapa haihitaji "degree" kujua kwamba TP Mazembe imeachwa mbali na Al Ahly.

NB:

Huwezi kuilinganisha Azam FC ambayo haijashiriki michuano ya CAF hata mara 3 uilinganishe na Majimaji iliyoshiriki michuano hiyo karibu mara 8 na kufika hadi raundi ya pili ya kombe la washindi. Majimaji kuzorota saivi haimaanishi kuwa records zao pia zimepotea. Bado zipo na bado zitatumika kuwarank. Kama hujanielewa kariri tu kwamba rekodi za Majimaji ni nzuri kule CAF kuliko za Azam.!

 NATAKA KUWA KAMA TV YA NYUMBANI KWETU

Mwalimu mmoja wa somo la Kiswahili katika shule ya msingi aliwataka wanafunzi wake waandike Insha kumuomba Mungu chochote ambacho wanahitaji awapatie. Baada ya kumaliza mwalimu akakusanya Insha zoote walizoandika wanafunzi wake.Akazibeba na kwenda kuzisahihishia nyumbani kwake.
Alipoanza kuzisahihisha akakutana na Insha ya ajabu iliyoandikwa na mmoja kati ya wanafunzi wake. Insha ile ilimsisimua sana. Mume wake aliporudi kutoka kazini kamsogelea mkewe na kumuona akilia, Mume akamuuliza “nini kimekutokea?, nini kinakufanya ulie?”

Mwalimu akamuambia mumewe “soma hii ni moja kati ya Insha ya wanafunzi wangu”. Mume akaanza kuisoma, iliandikwa kama hivi ifuatavyo:

“ Ooooh Mungu! Nifanye kuwa Televisheni, ninataka kuishi kama Tv ya nyumbani kwetu.
Televisheni ya nyumbani kwetu inathamani kubwa sana. Familia yetu yote hukaa wameizunguka wanavutiwa sana nayo kwani wanavutiwa nayo sana. Tv inapozungumza wazazi wangu huisikiliza kwa furaha sana. Huwa hawapigi kelele kwenye Tv, huwa hawapigani na Tv, huwa hawaichapi Tv, hivyo nataka kuwa kama Tv.

Tv ndiyo kivutio kikubwa sana nyumbani kwetu. Nahitaji kupata uangalizi maalumu kama inyopewa Tv kutoka kwa wazazi wangu. Hata kama haifanyi kazi, Tv inathamani kubwa sana.

Baba na mama yangu wanaporudi nyumbani haraka sana hukaa mbele ya Tv, wanaiwasha na kutumia masaa mengi wakiitazama. Tv imeiba muda wa baba na mama yangu, hivyo nitakapokuwa Tv watatumia muda wao kuwa namimi.

Wanapoitazama Tv wazazi wangu hucheka sana na kutabasamu mara nyingi, hivyo nahitaji wazazi wangu kucheka na kutabasamu namimi pia. Hivyo naomba Mungu unifanye kuwa Tv.

Chamwisho kabla sijamaliza kama nikiwa  Tv nitahakikisha nitawafanya wazazi wangu wawe na furaha sana. Mungu sitahitaji kingine zaidi. Ninahitaji tu, kuishi kama Tv ya nyumbani kwetu, hivyo naomba unigeuze kuwa Tv.

Baada ya kumaliza kusoma ile insha Mume akasema “Mungu wangu, masikini mtoto huyu, anajihisi mpweke, hapati uangalizi na upendo wa kutosha kutoka kwa wazazi wake, mbaya sana”
Macho ya mwalimu yakajawa na machozi zaidi, akamuangalia mumewe kisha akasema “MTOTO WETU NDIYO ALIYEANDIKA INSHA HIYO”.
Mungu atusaidie watoto wetu wasitake kuwa simu zenye whatsapp au Televisheni.
